I purchased this lens with a 50d about a yeas ago. And have been dissapointed ever since. When I received the lens the picture quality was lower than my G7 point and shoot. The photos were ok but not what I expect and at this point did not know if it was the camera or the lens. It seemed that I could tweak the quality by shooting at about 80mm at f10. Grsat Lens,particularly for outdoor trips. Lens stabilizer system works well. Lens rotates smoothly. Sharp details, even at the corners.
