Not the real deal but works.
I own a real and original Canon battery like this I purchased, except it is real! The orginal Canon battery will have the codes and description of the battery etched in the plastic battery casing and will be made in Japan. These batteries have the codes and descriptions printed in ink on the plastic casing (which rub right off) and are made in China. Better than the original
I have a Canon Rebel purchased a few years ago, and had lost my extra battery. Not wanting to go without, I bought this battery. It has more capacity than the one that came with the camera, and, as with the fist one, lasts a really long time. I have been taking pictures and leaving the camera on and ready for the last three weeks with my new granddaughter, and it is still at full charge.
